Staff were super nice and everything worked as it should. There is a grocery store just a couple of doors down the street, and plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The open air tourist bus passes in front of the hotel. Excellent location!

We chose this hotel because of the "family room" as we had three adults and one child (2.5 years old) with us. We got lucky with the location, it was perfect. Plaza Mayor is right across the street and this is a "must see" for anyone visitng Madrid. My suggestion is to grab a table and a Spanish beer (Mahou) and enjoy! The room was clean (expect for a few minor stains on the carpet) and the staff friendly. The breakfast buffet (15 euros) was not worth the money however I have to admit I arrived close to the closing time when they were winding down the service and food. We used the mini bar fridge to store our own food (those things are so small!!!). There is a small market down the street with very cheap food and excellent bread. I would get the before 10 am to grab some freshly baked bread and stock up on bottled water for the day. We would also grab some cheese for lunch. We enjoyed this hotel very much and would absolutely return. We love Madrid!
