The staff were professional and attentive at all times, yet also friendly and approachable. The room was a good size. A mirror in the bed room area would have been nice for puting on make-up ect, but the full length mirror in the hall area was sufficient. The roof terrace was lovely and a nice place to chill out for a while. Great location- step out the door and you are right on the Ramblas. The best hotel I have ever stayed in and would definately return. This hotel dserves all of the good reviews it gets.

Hotel is central to everything you could need. Great electric beds and spa tubs! Right in central Ramblas, but noise not a problem at night.

During my week in Spain, I interacted with over 100 people and was stunned at how WONDERFUL the Spanish people are. The staff at this hotel were the exact opposite. They were MISERABLY unpleasant. The worst people I have ever encountered in all of my travels,aywhere, and an ugly contrast to the rest of lovely Spain. They speak poorly for your country. I was never treated so disrespectfully and negatively---in particular, by the blondish woman there on the morning of July 30th and the man there at 5:00 on July 31st. BAD ATTITUDE. They were clearly prejudiced against whatever they thought I was...anti-American? Anti-semetic?(I am not Jewish but look semetic and my last name is often thought to be Jewish.) Whatever their prejudice, it was poorly hidden. They belong in another industry. The hotel, however, was awesome, albeit a tad "institutional"/cold. I would stay at Hotel Colon in the fut

Breakfast is an option, and we recommend it. The only thing that we missed was a little terras of our own. But there was a roofterras.
